The Martin family has been settled in Saint-Julien for over 300 years, mastering various jobs related to viticulture (ploughmen, cellar-masters, managers, coopers) and also owning a small wine estate known as Château Haut-Beychevelle Gloria. Considered to be the family’s historic property, the “cru” was the catalyst for Henri Martin’s passion for wine.

Initially known as Château Haut-Beychevelle in the early 20th Century, the name was changed to Haut-Beychevelle Gloria following the addition of Gloria, the name of the Martins’ family home.
